JUKI RX-7R Compact SMT Chip Mounter

JUKI introduces the RX-7R SMT chip mounter, a high-speed, compact SMT chip mounter. This model improves PCB handling and placement accuracy with a new placement head design. Available globally from September 21, 2018, it integrates seamlessly with flexible mounters for a complete production line.

The RX-7R supports high-speed mounting of smaller components. Its dual-lane conveyor handles two L-size PCB (420 x 450mm), up from the previous M-size boards (250 mm x 330 mm), without increasing the machine’s size. This compact design keeps production lines short when combined with the flexible JUKI RS-1.

The P16S placement head’s new axial design enhances placement accuracy, beneficial for the growing use of LED boards.

Options include fixed feeder banks, feeder trolleys, and dual or single-lane conveyors. The RX-7R exemplifies JUKI’s Smart Solutions, offering flexibility and capability for modern SMT production line.

The new P16S head achieves high-precision mounting. This 2nd generation design improves placement angle accuracy. It’s ideal for chips, small ICs, and LED edge lights, which need high accuracy in printed circuit board production.

• Simultaneous Production of Two L-Sized Boards

The RX-7R’s dual lane conveyor supports PCBs up to 420 mm x 450 mm. This feature enhances flexibility and boosts productivity, making it a versatile SMT chip mounter.

• Upside Down Component Check

The P16S head can check if leaded components are picked upside down, in addition to verifying chip orientation. This function improves quality and reduces rework costs.

The P16S head handles very small parts from 0.3mm x 0.15mm to 5mm square, with a height up to 3mm. The optional P8 head supports components from 0.6mm x 0.3mm to 25mm square, and up to 10.5mm in height.
